PWHT machine applications

The PWHT machines are mainly used in the petroleum, petrochemical, aerospace, shipbuilding, steel, boiler, ship, pressure vessel, steel frame structure, railway, bridge, mine construction, automobile manufacturing, nuclear power, mining industry, etc.And in total mostly used in the following induction heating application fields:

  • Weld preheating/post-welding heat preservation: pipeline, steel plate, steel structure, pressure vessel, etc.
  • Hot assembly/hot disassembly: hot disassembly and hot assembly of rotors such as bushing, turbine, motor, and coupling.
  • Medium induction heating: heat conduction oil, industrial water, hot water boiler, chemical reactor, hot air heating, etc.

PWHT machine main technical features

  • Air cooled: PWHT machines are all with air cooling circuits, which avoids the inconvenience caused by low ambient temperature and water cooling.
  • Fast heating speed: can heat the metal workpiece directly, unlike heat transfer to the metal by a resistor or flame.
  • High heating efficiency: Heat conversion efficiency up to 96%, through the insulation material heating
  • Simple operation: PWHT machine with PLC touch screen operation, start heating. Temperature controller control is more accurate. Record and save the curves.

How to choose a suitable PWHT machine?

  Normally as per the heated parts size and heating temperature choose the suitable PWHT machine. The bigger the heated workpiece, the higher the heating temperature, and the higher the power level PWHT machine should be.

  The key point is that we should design and suggest suitable induction heating coils as per the user’s heated parts details, drawings will be better.

  Lower heating temperature and fast heating speed request, choose the air cooled PWHT machine and water-cooled induction heating coil, sometimes can also choose the water cooled induction heating machine with the water cooled induction heating coils.
